Pelvic Pain Syndrome The causes of pelvic pain syndromes are numerous and occasional perplexing, which can lead the sufferer to become increasingly frustrated. Luckily, much research and recent advances have been recently made regarding the diagnosis and treatment options for these problems. One of the most common pelvic maladies to affect sufferers is a disease complex known as Intersitial Cystitis. The symptoms of this problem can closely mimic a urinary infection but the symptoms do not respond to antibiotic therapy. Through careful history and physical examination as well as specialized diagnostic evaluation those suffering from interstial cystitis are often able to achieve the first relief that they have enjoyed in years. Sexual Dysfunction The capacity for normal male and female sexual function is an essential part of an individuals self esteem as well as for a couples relationship. Restoration of normal activity relies first upon the accurate diagnosis of the causes of dysfunction. Once the causes can be identified and addressed, a wide variety of treatment options can be offered. These therapeutic possibilities range from counseling to medical therapy or even surgical options. Our physicians have over a 20 year experience with all forms of sexual dysfunction diagnosis and therapy. |
