Dr. Nicholas Stroumbakis, MD
Dr. Stroumbakis earned his BA degree from New York University and his medical degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He served his two year surgical internship and residency as well as his four year urological residency at New York Medical College. Dr. Stroumbakis performed his specialized fellowship training in Urological Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 1994 to 1996. As an accomplished physician at Greenwich Urological Associates, Dr. Stroumbakis treats the entire spectrum of urological disease. His specialization in Urological Oncology has trained him in the proper diagnosis and treatment of prostate, bladder, testicular and kidney cancer. He performs nerve sparing procedures of the prostate and seed implantation. Dr. Stroumbakis has published numerous articles, book chapters and reviews in Urological Oncology. He is also the co-director of the Prostate Cancer Support Group at Greenwich Hospital and is actively involve in the development of the Greenwich Hospital Prostate Cancer Center. Dr. Stroumbakis has recently been awarded with Americas Top Physicians for 2003 honor from Consumers Research Council of America. He is licensed in New York and Connecticut, Board Certified and maintains active membership in the American Urological Association (AUA), the New England AUA, the Fairfield County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association (AMA). |
